What Titia once started from an apartment in Brussels with a Pippi Longstocking mentality has grown into a serious enterprise with both a webshop and a physical store in Rotterdam. A store that she jokingly calls the 'Rotterdam Department Store for the Set Table' and which is increasingly becoming a reality.
The result
For a rebrand project, we always go back to the core: what makes this brand unique? After 14 years of entrepreneurship, Kleur op Tafel had built a clear identity, but it was no longer fully reflected in its visual presentation. The brand had grown, but its appearance hadn't kept pace.
The challenge was clear: to create fresh branding that reflects the energy and colorfulness of the assortment, without losing the recognition built up over years. Through intake, mood boards, and discussions, we managed to capture the essence of Kleur op Tafel: cheerfulness, quality, and an unconventional approach to table styling. The new logo suits a brand ready for its next phase.

The Shopify webshop
The webshop is built with Shopify, the software we have been using for years for professional webshops. It is the best SaaS e-commerce solution that grows with the business and comes standard with many automatic marketing options.
Migrating from Mijnwebwinkel is no small feat, especially with over 1700 products. Yet, this is precisely what we excel at. We have been migrating webshops for several years now. All products were carefully transferred, including redirects to maintain SEO ranking.

When and why did you start your business?
14 years ago, I had moved to Brussels for the umpteenth time in a short period and couldn't find suitable work quickly enough. Webshops were on the rise, and with a kind of Pippi Longstocking idea of "I can't do it, but it will probably work out," I started then.
What is your favorite product (category) from the assortment?
Difficult question, a bit like who is your favorite child :-) I have been a huge fan of Marimekko for years, and recently also of everything from Tessitura Toscana Telerie: tablecloths, but also bedspreads, cushion covers, etc. All fantastic designs that can give your table, your sofa, your bedroom a kind of total makeover in one go.

What made you decide to enlist SYSO's help?
I was hitting the limits of Mijnwebwinkel and struggled to figure out how to approach things myself. I couldn't see myself designing a completely new website, and certainly not transferring more than 1700 items one by one. I had known Mariko and her enthusiasm for a long time; I think I took some kind of online course for an online advent campaign about 7 years ago. When it turned out that SYSO could also handle the entire migration from Mijnwebwinkel to Shopify, I immediately scheduled an online appointment to get it started.

What are you most happy about with the new webshop?
Everything works immediately as it should. The automatic translation to German and English, the fact that I can adjust everything in bulk, and I'm still discovering so many new things. Integrations with Google, Meta, Pinterest, Parcel Pro. Truly fantastic!
Can we know your future plans?
I'll keep going until I've earned enough for a Land Rover Defender 😜 No, just kidding... Future plans: even more color, even more inspiration in the form of online magazine(s), blogs, etc. Fun, colorful, and cheerful set tables for everyone! Even more synergy between my new webshop and my physical store, which I once jokingly called the Rotterdam Department Store for the Set Table, but which is increasingly becoming just that! And with a website that I can now truly make work for me, I can seriously focus on online growth!
Would you recommend SYSO and why?
Absolutely! The invaluable hands-on help, the collaborative thinking, the design of the super cool new logo. And participation in SYSO VIP. I had postponed this migration and new step towards more, better, and greater things for a long time.
