This is the video I talk about in the Sell your stuff online workbook on page 91. This Apple commercial hits me time and time again. I don't know exactly why, for many reasons I think. Above all, the video really motivates me, that's for sure.
In my book I indicate that when looking for your identity, you should look at your own brand rockstars. By a 'rockstar' I mean an example, something or someone that appeals to you, from which you learn lessons and not something you copy(!).
One of my own personal brand rockstars is Apple. Always has been. I don't think this brand is a brand anymore, but something that is standard for 'cool'. I grew up with Apple through my graphics education. The computers and gadgets are still getting nicer and if you think it couldn't get any nicer, Apple comes standard with something even nicer. The 'Think different' commercial with Einstein and Picasso shows exactly what charge Apple has for me. 'People who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do', so positive and encouraging . If I can radiate that just a little bit with Sell your stuff online... then my mission has already been accomplished.
The complete Here's to the crazy ones Apple commercial
Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes… the ones who see things differently — they're not fond of rules… You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things… they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.
