Because we strongly believe in the power of helping each other, so that we strengthen each other and lift each other to a higher level. We rise by lifting others.
What is Kiva?
Kiva is an international non-profit organization founded in 2005 in San Francisco. Kiva's mission is to connect people and reduce poverty through small loans (from $25) to the self-employed around the world. The great thing - we think - is that it is based on the self-reliance of the entrepreneur and that you can choose exactly who you lend to. The loans are actually repaid to you. We will switch it off immediately, but you can also withdraw the money after repayment if you wish.
